Antique Carl Tielsch German Cake Plate with Pierced Handles

Hand-Painted with Multicolor floral Bouquets and Silver Gold Designs.

Based on stamped logos, I'm guessing that this plate is from the late 1800's - early 1900's.

Wow! This is a amazingly beautiful decorative plate. The rim is scalloped and has a fancy art nouveau style border. I think this style plate is called a cake plate because it has two pierced handle openings on the sides.
In great shape, no crazing, chips or dings. The back has a stamp in green that has an eagle emblem with "C.T." below it, along with "Germany". There are also hand-written writing in red that is hard to read, but looks like "RSM DZ 16"

A little info about the "C.T." mark: "CT Germany was first part of a mark used by a company in Altwasser, Germany (now part of Walbrzych, Poland), in 1845. The mark was used by Carl Tielsch. The Hutschenreuther firm took over the company in 1918 and continued to use the CT. CT Germany was used by the Hutschenreuther firm even after the Altwasser factory, now part of Walbrzych, Poland, was nationalized by the Polish government."
