Functionally, this Dell Inspiron 15-7506 is in perfect condition. Cosmetically, even though it is not being delivered to you directly from the factory, it is indistinguishable from factory new, and is almost certainly the finest such unit currently available on eBay or anywhere else. Some details...

Overall, the chassis/case is in brand new condition - literally what a typical system would look like after just a few days of ownership! In detail: the LCD's top/back cover is in perfect condition, with no scratches/scuffs/dings/dents/cracks/etc. - 10 out of 10. The LCD's front Gorilla Glass Touch Digitizer is flawless, with zero imperfections of any sort - 10 out of 10. The chassis base/bottom is in perfect condition, with absolutely zero blemishes - it rates a 10 out of 10. The keyboard is perfect, with zero indications of any use whatsoever (not even from the week I spent installing Windows 11 and all of the apps!) - 10 out of 10. The palmrest/touchpad assembly surface is in flawless condition - 10 out of 10. The LCD is bright and clear and in absolutely perfect, brand new condition; there are no dead or stuck pixels, or scratches or scuffs or lines or burn marks or faded backlighting or discoloration or any other possible imperfection - overall an amazing display and rates a 10 out of 10. The genuine Dell 4-cell 68WHr "Smart" Li-Ion primary battery is brand new and retains all 100% of its date-of-manufacture capacity (68,005 mWh out of 68,005 mWh!) for hours and hours of uninterrupted on-the-go computing! The genuine Dell LA65NS2-01 65-Watt high-capacity AC adapter is in new condition. The cooling fan and heat sink assembly are clean and perfect - completely free of the dingy muck buildup you find on used laptops (which can lead to overheating!). The primary Solid State Drive and the secondary Hard Disk Drive are brand new, with both receiving the highest possible "Health Status" scores as determined by the industry standard CrystalDiskInfo tool (both also thoroughly verified using Dell's built-in Diagnostics suite, as well various trusted third-party benchmarking applications). The optical drive is brand new (only used to install some of the applications via the included DVDs), with all supported media types fully tested and certified. The Dell Active Stylus Pen is brand new and fully tested. And the integrated Intel AX201 Wireless-AX/WiFi-6 plus Bluetooth 5.1 card works superbly, with plenty of speed (up to 2400Mbits/s) and range to satisfy anyone! All internal components (motherboard, CPU, memory cards, etc.) have been fully tested, and the entire laptop has been checked out thoroughly using a battery of highly regarded diagnostics and stress-testing suites. This is truly a phenomenal laptop, and you are extremely unlikely to find another one with its superb combination of ultra-high-end hardware specs, outstanding, custom-tailored Windows and apps setup, and new overall condition at anything close to this very attractive price - it is quite unique indeed!

Unit History: This Dell Inspiron 15-7506 is listed as an "Open Box" unit, and aside from the roughly one week I spent upgrading its hardware and then setting it up with Windows 11 Pro, Office 2021 Pro, and the entire best-in-class custom apps suite, it has only actually been used 2 or 3 times in total (it was a spare company system). Our business typically has up to a dozen or so 7506s (and the prior 7591s and 7501s) in our stable that we use to run standard office productivity tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint typically, plus a few Adobe creativity apps), some engineering tools (mostly MatLab and several chip design, synthesis, and simulation packages), as well as doing some Zoom/Skype video conferencing. This particular unit was simply another one of our "extras" that almost never left our IT storage locker. Company-wide, all of our Inspiron systems are now being reassigned or decommissioned due to an across-the-board upgrade cycle to mostly very pricey Dell Precision models, making available for sale this essentially brand new Inspiron 7506 system with its fresh-from-scratch operating system and apps installation, plus its performance-oriented component upgrades (most importantly, the huge, lightning-fast NVMe primary Solid State Drive, the equally huge external secondary Hard Disk Drive, the larger RAM/main memory, the external USB optical drive, the Gigabit Ethernet LAN adapter, the ultra-fast AX WiFi-6 module, the genuine Dell Active Stylus Pen, and the higher capacity AC adapter). In sum, this superbly upgraded Inspiron 15-7506 is configured vastly better than when we originally purchased it (along with several identical systems), yet it is priced at a fraction of its retail value!

Upgrade Options

The hardware included with this Inspiron 15-7506 laptop is what I would consider optimal from a cost-performance perspective (I spent nearly 10 years at Intel architecting and designing microprocessors and entire computing platforms, so I have a better understanding of performance tradeoffs than the average eBay vendor!). I have not over-spec'ed it to make it appear to be something that it's not. It has more than enough compute and graphics horsepower, however, to comfortably run any of your older video games at up to "medium-ish" settings, any of your productivity and creativity apps, any of your entertainment apps (especially streaming players and various multimedia apps), and a variety of other apps you might choose to install after your purchase - so it is fully capable of handling nearly any task you might throw at it! For potential buyers who'd prefer to max out certain specs on this already superbly equipped laptop, I'd be happy to provide any available upgrades to the winning buyer. Prices for items like a Dell WD15 Docking Station (see below for specs), larger NVMe primary Solid State Drives (up to 4TB), larger secondary backup Hard Disk Drives, Bluetooth keyboards and mice, spare AC adapters, etc., fluctuate depending on market conditions; however, if you're interested, just send me an email and I can check on current prices for you.

Making a Best Offer

While I generally don't provide automatic "Best Offer" capability in my laptop listings because of the flood of low-ball offers that normally leads to, I will try to respond if you email with an offer and will at least consider it. As policy, I try to price all of my new, open box, or refurbished-to-near-new condition laptops at approximately what the primary components are worth on eBay (motherboard, CPU, LCD, memory, SSD and/or HDD, optical drive, AC adapter, battery, chassis, etc.). Depending on current market conditions, I generally add a bit on top of that (typically around $75) to cover the 12+ hours of labor on average that goes into each laptop to get it configured like you see in the listing: time that's spent on the hardware and firmware upgrades, the Windows, device drivers, and applications installations and updates, and the exceptional, super-intuitive, uber-organized Start Menu configuration. Paying myself roughly $6 per hour for that expert labor does not to me seem excessive! However, I do understand everyone has an affordability limit - especially these days! - so if the upfront price is out of your range, you are welcome to contact me and I can try to work with you to get the laptop down to a price you can afford by trading off certain specs against price/performance and optimize both with your specific needs in mind.

Shipping and Insurance Info

DOMESTIC U.S. SHIPMENTS:

Insurance to cover the replacement cost of an item lost or damaged during transit is not an optional, separately billable line item during checkout. Therefore, all items of sufficient value automatically carry full insurance coverage for US destinations. This coverage is provided via USPS/FedEx/UPS or ShipCover/other third-party, and is already built into the shipping quote - there is no separate fee charged.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:

• First Class International is notoriously slow for certain countries, sometimes taking as long as 8 to 10 weeks for final delivery of your package. Please keep that in mind if you select First Class International for shipment of your item.

• For higher-value items (especially those shipped to countries with spotty international package delivery reputations), you may select to have the "Registered Mail" option added to your shipment if you have  chosen First Class International Mail delivery. Registered Mail provides full insurance coverage for an item - even for First Class International Mail - but adds approximately $12.00 - $13.00 to the cost of standard postage. Please also keep in mind that USPS Registered Mail requires special handling and tracking by the postal and customs services of both the US and your own country, so delivery often takes a few extra days compared to non-registered mail. If you are interested in the Registered Mail option, please send a note along with your payment and you will be issued a separate PayPal invoice to cover the cost of this service.

• For higher-value items, you also have the option of selecting Priority Mail International delivery. Priority Mail International provides full tracking and delivery confirmation information when the non-Flat Rate Box option is selected (Flat Rate Boxes are generally as poor with regard to tracking and delivery confirmation as First Class International). Priority Mail International provides full insurance coverage, so is recommended if you are at all concerned about loss or theft of your item by your country's customs and/or postal services while they are handling your package.

The 60-day parts and 1-year labor warranty included with this Dell Inspiron laptop covers defects in the item itself, and is limited to...

• Replacement of the part with one of similar type/quality if available,

• Repair of the item by seller if possible, or

• Refund of the actual item purchase price if a replacement is not available and repair is not possible.

Choice of remedy is at seller's discretion, and buyer is responsible for all shipping fees. In addition, any warranty claim absolutely MUST be handled directly through the seller - replacement or repairs performed by the buyer or by a third party will not be reimbursed by the seller unless advanced, written approval was granted!

Additional warranty limitations - These may seem obvious, but here they are anyway...

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse of this item.

• This warranty does not cover damage caused by use with unsupported hardware, damage caused by modifications to the laptop, or damage caused by out-of-spec use (e.g., baking it in the summer sun, taking your laptop with you into the shower, etc.).

I generally accept "buyer's remorse" returns of most items if you change your mind about a purchase. The returned item must, of course, be in the exact same condition as when originally shipped, and all returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the item. Additionally, all returns are subject to a "restocking" fee of between 8% and 20% of the total sale price plus shipping. This fee covers the time and equipment necessary to fully retest and recertify the item, any potential item depreciation, various fees incurred to relist the item on eBay, and any PayPal fees that are not refunded to the seller even if your payment is refunded. Two-way shipping with full insurance coverage where appropriate is the buyer's responsibility. Please contact me within 7 days of item receipt to request a "buyer's remorse" return.

I will process all damage claims with the carrier and may request that you return the item. Please retain original shipping containers and notify me immediately if you suspect damage during shipment.

Finally, for those thinking about swapping out parts from their old broken Dell and then sending the this unit back for a warranty refund, that is simply, absolutely, 100% not going to work - prior to shipment, this item is extensively photographed (inside and out!), various components with identifying numbers are cataloged, and special UV and other indelible inks are used to mark random internal sections of the laptop. This is a high-value item and any attempts at fraud will be appropriately handled, so don't try!

Payment Details

• PayPal is fine, and funding via your credit card, bank account, PayPal balance, etc. are all OK -- I don't discriminate against any PayPal funding options! Using PayPal is fast, easy, and will ensure speediest delivery. For international shipments, this is the only available payment method!

• If using PayPal, I will generally only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses, although exceptions may be made for those with excellent eBay feedback on a case-by-case basis.

• Credit cards or debit cards processed through eBay's payment system are also fine and have the same advantages and benefits as PayPal payments.

• Cash is OK, but ONLY if you're doing a local pick up. I'm sure you know better than to send cash in the mail!

• If you wish to use any form of payment other than PayPal, please contact me first to check if it is a suitable method, and is allowed by eBay's payment policies. When using a non-PayPal method, there may be a shipment delay to allow time for your payment to be processed (typically several business days). Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis and only for eBay members with exceptionally positive feedback history.

Transaction Feedback

• I typically leave feedback for buyers shortly after payment has been made. If I'm particularly busy - I have a fairly taxing 'day job' designing CPUs and custom data/image processing chips for a very high-end, next-generation medical diagnostic imaging system - that feedback may be delayed a day or two. Please rest assured, though, that I will not forget to leave it!

• I ask that once you have received your package and have thoroughly checked out your item, that you reciprocate and leave appropriate feedback for me. • eBay bases their fees on a member's detailed feedback ratings for communications, whether the item was as described, shipping costs, and shipping time. Although they profess that scores of 4 or better are acceptable, in practice, any score less than 5 results in significantly higher 'Final Value' fees (up to 20% higher), which in turn leads to higher prices for buyers. So, if there's anything at all about your transaction that you feel does not merit a score of '5', please let me know right away what I could have done better to earn that score.

• Shipping Time: please keep in mind that I have absolutely zero control over how long the US Post Office or other contracted carriers take to actually deliver a package to you once they have it in their possession. All I can promise is that all items are shipped either the same day as payment is received or at worst, the very next business day. Parcel Post, in particular, can take a week or longer to cover the distance between California and the East Coast, so if that poses a problem for you, you may want to opt for one of the expedited shipping options! For international buyers, please be aware that shipping time is impacted greatly by how quickly the customs agents of your country process your package. If they are particularly busy (for example, during the winter holiday season), the added delay can be quite substantial! For whichever shipping option you choose, keep in mind that the 'Shipping Time' score is meant to reflect how quickly a seller posts an item after it has been paid for - not how long the carrier takes to actually deliver the package using the buyer's chosen delivery method!!!

• Shipping Cost: Many of my listings feature free domestic First Class or Parcel Post shipping. For the rest, First Class and Parcel Post shipping, or upgrades to Priority and Express shipping, are typically provided at a slight discount to published USPS rates plus transit insurance and packaging materials cost. For international customers, shipping costs are calculated using the lowest published USPS rates for the available shipping options, plus transit insurance, packaging materials cost, and a very small amount (one US dollar or less) to cover the overhead of filling out various US customs forms.
