An original oil on board painting of Chapel Stile village in Great Langdale, Cumbria.

I’d personally replace the frame as it is dated. I will send it in the frame to leave the decision to you and to give stability to the package.

Chapel Stile is a village in Cumbria, England. Located approximately 5 miles northwest of Ambleside within the Langdale valley. It contains a school, Holy Trinity church, the Co-op and the Wainwrights' Inn. With access to various mountain climbs including Bow Fell and Crinkle Crags, the village is a favourite sleep over location for climbers and walkers. Couples who choose to get married at the church are traditionally 'tied in' during the service. The local children tie up the church gates and the newlyweds are only released when coins are thrown to said children.
