This is a fine antique Japanese,bronze lamp,probably from the late Meiji-Taisho period mounted on a matching wooden base.The lamp measures 17.7 inches and has been rewired to function with safety.The wooden base has been revarnished to match the patina of the bronze.The lamp is carved with geese,birds and cherry tree branches  with meticulous detail .Thank you for reading,if any questions ,dont hesitate to ask,please check my other items
