I am only selling this car because, as an 85 yr old pensioner, I cannot afford to have the engine repaired. I bought it in January 2012 and have serviced and maintained it to keep it in the excellent condition it is now. The back axle was changed to the XF version as the original one whined. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2017 when I damaged it by spraying an excessive amount of air intake cleaner into it, which caused one piston to hydraulic. This current failure was evidently due to a weakness in the engine design, but upgraded parts are now available to fix that problem. I had the ECU re-programmed to delete the EGR system. The car is fitted with a Tow Bar and the rear suspension is raised by 25mm to stop excessive rear end sag.
It is a wonderfully powerful and comfortable car and much admired wherever it's parked up.
Rather than auction it, I am selling it at a much lower price than it's worth because the buyer will have the additional expense for it to be transported from my home near Nairn in Scotland.
Collection only as it can only be driven to move it about or loaded onto a trailer or recovery vehicle.
