1956 Press Photo Mike Berg caught a snapping turtle at Muskegon Lake in Michigan

This is an original press photo. Turtles - General. It's heavy, all right, for an 11-year-old boy, but Mike Berg of Muskegon, Michigan, doesn't mind at all. Mike caught the ornery-looking 30-pound snapping turtle in Muskegon Lake on Saturday with a cowboy rope. The result will be turtle soup on Sunday.Photo measures 8.25 x 8.75inches. Photo is dated 4-15-1956.
