Up for auction is a tin friction 1950's fire truck made in Japan by an unknown maker. The fire engine measures 7 inches long and it is in complete, very good, played with condition. The truck has terrific graphics and great color; it has two driver figures as well as 4 additional firemen. The litho is in very good condition with some wear, scratches and rubs. The ladder has been repainted and the color is a great match for the original color. However, the ladder was painted with a brush so there is some evidence of brush strokes in the paint. The ladder has both sections intact but it will not always stand by itself. The friction motor works well. The last photo shows the fire truck as pictured in Teruhisa Kitahara's great book Wonderland of Toys. Thanks for looking!!!!
