This book is a MASTERPIECE and checks all the boxes for high quality 19th Century book binding in London! Measuring 8.5" x 11", the book has gorgeous binding over wooden boards, gold gilding on all three edges, gilt decorations on front & rear boards and spine, raised bands on the spine, a tight binding and spine, High quality paper, and BEAUTIFUL endpapers! Note the minor rubbing on the corners as may be seen in the photos! Inside, there is a single inscription beautifully scripted, as may be seen in the photo. Additionally, there is a "Blessing Hospital Nurses Library" stamp on the inside page and on page 93, also seen in the photos. There is minor foxing that does not distract from the gorgeous engravings and overall quality of this book! Please see photos!
