Oktava ML-19 vintage Russian cardioid ribbon mic from 1984 (incl original hard-to-find holder)
Made in Russia from the mid 70s til mid 80s, The ML-19 is a unidirectional ribbon microphone. I love these mics. I've had great results on accordion, electric guitar, drums (overheads, bass drum).

Stewart from Xaudia says this about the ML-19:
The ML19 ribbon microphone from Oktava is still somewhat underrated and I think this is one of the best sounding end-address cardioid ribbon mics. Based loosely on the RCA BK5, they ML19 has a wider ribbon and is a little warmer in tone with a good bass response, without being overly dark or woolly. Great for upright bass and horns and any source where you need rear end rejection.

From elsewhere on the internet:
I have an ML-19 that I use regularly for snare bottom. Seems like an inconsequential use maybe but I haven't found a mic that I like better for the purpose. Also like it a lot for tambourine. As Michael Joly described, the ML-19 is surprisingly hi-fi, with a nice clear top end and a moderate/controlled low end. It doesn't have the stereotypical ribbon mic sound.

This includes the original mic clip, which has been re-padded. It fits very snugly, and I haven't dared forced the clip all the way onto the mic.
