Up for auction is a solid brass padlock made by the Wilson Bohannan Company. Nicely made and in very good mechanical condition. Shackle spring is still intact and is stamped "W. Bohannan, Brooklyn, Pat June 25, 78" (That's 1878.) Comes with an operable brass barrel key that's stamped "Wilson Bohannan, Brookyn, NY 78" on one side and "78" on the other side. Body has some all over nicks which we believe are consistent with age and use. There is no dust cover spring. Heavy steel chain looks to be original. Coin is for size comparison only. Happy to combine shipping if you're bidding on our other items. If that's the case, please wait until I send an invoice before making payment. Will be shipped USPS First Class with tracking.
