This Civil War era magazine, intended for Christian children and published by the American Tract Society, features large wood engravings, historical and religious fact-dumps, stories of little boys and girls being Good and Sharing and Charitable and Well-Behaved and such, and has some poems and/or songs.
Note again, this is a single issue, never bound into a volume, and never trimmed. The fold at the "spine" is accurate as made, but the margins are unmatched. The point in printing on irregular paper was to align the text blocks.
It is now stored unfolded in an archival sleeve, on a stiff backer. But the folds will remain; they've had 160 years of lead time, after all.
