Large antique Georgian French dovetailed copper saucepan with flat lid

Formed from one sheet of copper with dovetail joint around the base and up along one side behind the handle. There is a very light remnant of a hammered finish which has been all but polished away over the years.

The cast iron handles are firmly fixed with copper rivets and the pan is tin lined. The hefty pan has a useful support handle.

Approx. dimensions - 31cm dia x 18cm D / Handle length 30cm / Width incl handles 64cm / Weight 7kg / Rim 2mm

In overall good used antique condition with associated surface marks and wear. The pan sits flat on the counter. The tin lining is discoloured and darker grey in places with some light copper bleed at the bottom.

An impressive pan of good quality which would make a superb addition to any kitchen copper collection.
