Thank you for looking at my auction.  All of my diecast vehicles come from a smoke free environment.  For the purposes of all my listings "left" refers to the driver's side and "right" the passenger side as if you were sitting behind the steering wheel.  You are bidding on my spectraflame Magenta Hot Wheels Redlines Olds 442 with "damaged" original Mattel rear wing.  Please pay close attention to the pictures as they are a significant part of the listing.  Sadly, this Olds 442 was obviously abused at some point since it was made.  So you can look at it two ways.  One is the rear wing is damaged and ruins the car.  I prefer to look at it another way.  It is 100% original damage and all.  Who knows the stories it could tell, but I think it's pretty awesome how in a span of 54 years from the time it left Mattel, someone did not either throw the car away, jerk the rear wing off of it altogether or replace it with one in better condition or a reproduction.  Replacing it at all would have put an undamaged rear wing where it was obvious that damage to the rear wing would have occurred based on the damage to the trunk.  So if you decide bid please take all of this into consideration and bid accordingly.

Rear wing: Original Mattel has a definitive nick or chip out of it.  It is stamped on the underside with the numbers 6467-015 4.  It is still flexible and has somewhat of a "spongy" feeling when you depress it.  Please see picture number 15, number 16, number 17 and number 18.
Body: Has metal damage in three places: upper left corner of the rear window, where the windshield meets the roofline and where the rear wing post inserts into the trunk on the driver's side.  Please see the picture number 19, number 20 and number 21.
Paint: Horrendous condition with numerous nicks, chips, scratches, toning and metal damage.  Please see the pictures.
Plastic: Windshield and rear window in very poor condition with numerous scratches.  Please see the picture number 22 and number 23.
Decals: Hood stripes are badly faded.  Both appear to me like someone possibly affixed them, then tried to reposition them tearing them and then stuck the sections back together.  Please see picture number 6 and number 14.  They are lifting at the front edge of the hood as well.  Please see picture number 3, number 8 and number 9.
Roof stripes: badly faded and torn on the ends.  The left side stripe end at the "fourth" star near the rear window was damaged at some point and is a little narrower than the rest of the stripe and closer to the roof edge.  Also the left side roof stripe closer to the roof/windshield junction is disfigured.  Please see picture number 6 and number 14.
Hood: Opens and closes as it should
Chrome wheels: Good condition
Redlines: Very good condition with the exception of the right front where a small section of the redline is barely touched from the chip missing on the outer surface sidewall edge of the tire.  Please see the picture number 24.
Tires surfaces front: The right front has a significant "divot" or chip out of it which extends into the sidewall and barely touches the redline.  Please see picture number 24.  The right front also has a very slight separation where the smaller and larger tire sections are joined together.  Please see picture number 7 also showing the base.  The left front has a very small chip where the smaller and larger tire sections are joined together.  Please see picture number 7 showing the base.
Tire surface rear: The left and right rear tire surfaces are in very good condition.
Suspension: Still springy and feels consistent pushing directly upward on all four tires
Axles: All four axles are slightly bent with the right rear being the worst. Please see picture number 7 also showing the base.
Base: The U.S.A. base is badly tarnished
Rivets: The rivets are in excellent condition
Wheel/Tire Spin: All four wheels/tires feely spin, but all of them do have a wobble, the right rear being the worst.
Roll Test: This Olds 442 rolls with a shimmy and immediately starts make a hard turn to the right.

This is a seven day auction which I am going to let run its course so please ask any questions or request any additional pictures while the auction is live. I have a picture of the underside of the rear wing clearly showing the numbers I just ran out of the number of pictures allowed by eBay.  So please do not hesitate to ask for it.  This Hot Wheels Olds 442 will be packaged well and shipped USPS Ground Advantage in the CONUS to include eBay's stateside international shipping hub.  Returns are welcome according to eBay's return policy.  I do combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Thank you again for looking at my auction.
