This is for a lovely original antique Georgian folding magnifying glass circa 1820. It has a silver frame around the glass and ornate silver mounts in the form of butterflies either side of the buffalo horn covers. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks in the panels and no dents in the silver frame. There is no play in any of the mounts or the hinge and the glass gives a lovely crisp sharp magnified image. The lens does have chips around the edges as shown but as it is a good large size it does not affect the use. It measures 75mm (3") x 55mm (2").
