LEON CHANDON CHAMPAGNE DOUBLE SIDED ART GLASS PENDANT

Double sided pendant shows vintage advertising images for Leon Chandon Champagne.

The merest touch of wry humor and spectacular beauty combine to create one of the loveliest designs we have ever come across for Reims champagne producer Leon Chandon.  Framed within a climbing bower of vines and clusters, the sky behind her itself effervescing from the splendor of the sweet intoxicant, the Art Nouveau flirt peers deeply into her crystal chalice, searching for the champagne's secret as she gazes deep into its amber fizz.  The other side shows a formally dressed man as he watches an elegant woman enjoy champagne.  A mild Victorian flirtation, under the watchful eye of an elderly gentleman, gets a boost from a glass of the bubbly.  The sumptuously appointed boudoir is certainly conducive to romance.  Utterly charming!

This piece measures 1 inch by 1 7/8 inches.  You are only bidding on ONE pendant.  The photo shows two so you can see both sides.

The pendant has a different image on each side.  It's two pendants in one.  If it twists while you're wearing it...it still looks good.

The charm is handmade using a stained glass technique. The images are printed on high cotton content paper and set between 2 thin pieces of glass. It is fused together with a very thin layer of copper which acts as a conductor for a lead free solder combination of silver and tin. The charm is very durable but won't stand up to excessive pulling and tugging. You just have to treat it with care.

The piece comes to you on a 30 inch ball chain and you can keep it long or shorten it to whatever length suits you by snipping it with a pair of scissors.  You could also wear it on a ribbon or cord and it would be beautiful.
