TROLLS DOUBLE SIDED FANTASY GLASS - ART PENDANT

Double sided pendant has a depiction of a "Giant Troll" on one side and a "Folk of the Wilderness" type of Troll on the other which has been hand embelished with aurora borealis glitter.

Troll A troll is a fearsome member of a mythical anthropomorph race from Scandinavia. Their role ranges from fiendish giants€“ similar to the ogres of England to a devious, more human-like folk of the wilderness, living underground in hills, caves or mounds. In Shetland and Orkney tales, trolls are called trowe, adopted from the Norse language when these islands were settled by Vikings.

Nordic literature, art and music from the romantic era and onwards has adapted trolls in various manners often in the form of an aboriginal race, endowed with oversized ears and noses. From here, as well as from Scandinavian fairy tales such as Three Billy Goats Gruff, trolls have achieved international recognition, and in modern fantasy literature and role-playing games, trolls are featured to the extent of being stock characters.

This piece measures 1 inch by 1 7/8 inches.  You are only bidding on ONE pendant.  The photo shows two so you can see both sides.

The pendant has a different image on each side.  It's two pendants in one.  If it twists while you're wearing it...it still looks good.

The charm is handmade using a stained glass technique. The images are printed on high cotton content paper and set between 2 thin pieces of glass. It is fused together with a very thin layer of copper which acts as a conductor for a lead free solder combination of silver and tin. The charm is very durable but won't stand up to excessive pulling and tugging.  You just have to treat it with care.

The piece comes to you on a 30 inch ball chain and you can keep it long or shorten it to whatever length suits you by snipping it with a pair of scissors.  You could also wear it on a ribbon or cord and it would be beautiful.
