Dr. Bienvenu's dissertation says that Mr. Burtman referred to Striparama in correspondence in 1961. The title was produced irregularly throughout the 1960s.

Mr. Burtman was so fond of strippers that he married one, Tana Louise. This issue has pictorials of Syra, Lonnie Young, Ann Walker, Jada, Virginia Bell, Starr Bright, and alleged amateur stripper Katie Cole, who was seen on the pages of dozens of pinup magazines throughout the 1960s as Vicki Kennedy. Although sometimes shown with stage make-up and in costume, they are usually seen at home in pinup poses and attire. Like many Burtman zines, the cover model is not found inside.

A European entertainer, the dazzling smiles of Syra are a show-stopper here. According to the text, she was compared to Garbo and was a former Miss Switzerland. A gorgeous blond from head to toe, her photographs fill four pages.

We’ve seen exotic Lonnie Young on the pages of other Selbee Magazines, but this is larger set. In high-heeled boots, fishnet body stocking, furs, on stage, backstage, outdoors and at home, she enjoys the company of a monkey, horse, and snake.

Sultry Brit Ann Walker’s pix were staged in a studio. Two different garter belts and a tight waspie hold up her patterned stockings.

A “Body Beautiful”, Jada flirts at the camera in someone’s apartment. In most of these pictures, all she wears are furs, mules and baby powder, which are quite sufficient for the purpose of exposing the figure that made her a burlesque success.

Well-endowed Virginia Bell exposes acres of skin indoors in pumps and outdoors in cowgirl hat and boots. In one photo, she leans against a cabinet that holds a reel-to-reel.

Betty Edwards’ Report on Nite Life takes a tour of stripperies in New Orleans, Tijuana, Ensenada, and Dallas. Many snapshots show performers in pasties on stage and in dressing rooms. Pictures of building exteriors, signs and automobiles will pique nostalgia for what we remember as simpler times.

Introduced by an unexpected Gene Bilbrew illustration, Carlson Wade's short story, “Stag Show: For Girls Only” tells about Bubbles, a professional entertainer who performs her terpsichore for a female audience. Letters to the Editor are accompanied by photos of strippers in assorted settings. Cartoons by Mr. Bilbrew fill two pages.

Every word and picture of the original, including ads, are included in this page-by-page, large format digital presentation. Many page layouts were revised to obtain larger pictures of the models. To accomplish this, empty margins were reduced and captions were moved. Digital adjustments and retouching of specks and blemishes improves on the good photography in the original.
