BRIEF HISTORY:
In the early 1970's Colonial Craftsmen which was a dollhouse maker company was bought out by the company Stieff ..operations were then moved from PA to the Stieff factory in Baltimore. These pewter items are wonderful in quality and detail and very hard to find..I am assuming the packages that do not say Steiff are older than the packages that do say Stieff. In any case these items are Vintage and made of Lead Free Pewter. Stieff also made miniatures for the company Colonial Williamsburg.
