A NOTE ABOUT OUR “Best Offer” ITEMS

At times, we are able to offer an item with a “Best Offer” feature.  If the item you are looking at does not have a “best offer” feature, then it is not an item we are able to offer that on.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US ASKING US TO DEAL “OFF EBAY”.

Additionally, if the item you are looking at does have a “Best Offer” option, all offers MUST GO THROUGH EBAY.  Those listings are set up to automatically accept offers that are acceptable, and automatically decline offers that are below the level of what we can sell for.  If your offer is close, it is not automatically declined, I will respond in a timely manner.  Also, please use your offers sparingly.  You are limited to only 3 offers.  Many times, we get someone who has exhausted all of their offers (oftentimes, entering ridiculously low offers which are automatically rejected), then contact us to see what offer we would accept.  All offers must go through eBay - period.  If you run out of offers, the only option you are allowed is to use the Buy It Now feature at the fixed price. Unfortunately, this is eBay's policy, not mine. Recently we have been receiving several messages about our lowest price and also inquiries to change the value for import fees. I cannot and will not respond to requests from International Buyers to misrepresent the value of the item to save on import fees. We would appreciate your just tendering an offer which we allow on our Fixed Price inventory. We will consider all offers. If you see something you want, tender an offer.

NOTE: The grading is approximate by the Overstreet Comic Guide. The grades are uncertified, but believed to be fairly accurate (± 0.5). As you probably know, you could have 10 people grade a book and probably only 3 out of 10 would say the same thing. It is subjective, but thankfully Overstreet helps with that. Many graders differ on how they interpret various grading provisions. Overstreet is what I go by. Always have and always will. Please examine the photos and make your buying decision accordingly. Great care has been taken to provide the best view in average lighting against a light background to give a true representation of the condition of the book. No photos have been photo-shopped. Thank you for considering these fine books in my fixed price auction. The fixed price auction also allow for bidders to make offers. I always consider every offer.  If you have any questions please ask me before you tender an offer. Thank you for visiting our eBay store and considering doing business with us. We have several satisfied, repeat customers and we are always willing to try and make a deal which is why we think the ability to make an offer option is a good one.

AS A GENERAL NOTE, SILVER AGE PAPER WAS VERY FRAGILE AND NEVER DESIGNED TO LAST. THEY HAD TO USE INFERIOR PAPER COMPARED TO GOLDEN AGE IN ORDER TO KEEP COSTS DOWN. THAT IS WHY WHEN YOU FIND A SILVER AGE IN VF OR ABOVE TRY AND GET IT BECAUSE THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. THIS IS A GOOD BOOK TO HAVE FOR THE SERIOUS COLLECTOR.  THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING BOOK WITH GREAT COLOR.

YOU WOULD HAVE TO SEND OFF YOUR COMIC TO CGC TO DETERMINE IF IT RATED A HIGHER GRADE - WHICH CAN GET EXPENSIVE DEPENDING ON THE VALUE OF THE COMIC. THEY CHARGE FLAT RATES FOR DIFFERENT TURNAROUND TIMES UP TO A CERTAIN AMOUNTS DEPENDING ON THE ERA (MODERN OR SILVER AGE) THEN AFTER THAT A PERCENTAGE OF THE  VALUE BY WHICH THEY GRADED IT -  IN SHORT, AN OPEN ENDED TRANSACTION. THAT’S OK IF YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS.
