One socket is installed by your router/hub and the other by the PC/switch you want to network.
The Cat6 External grade cable is then run externally (Can also be run internally) between these two positions.
Contained in the kit is everything you should need apart from the 2 backbox
fixings which will depend on what you intend to fix them to.
