ANTIQUE 1798 GEORGE KEATING MEZZOTINT FAMILY DINNER COTTAGE DOOR AFTER WHEATLEY

Antique 1798 Mezzotint engraving print from C & G Keating (George Keating), London, England, after a painting done by Francis Wheatley, titled "The Family Dinner" or "The Cottage Door". Scene features four people, a mother and three children, dining outside. Background shows vast plains and faint mountains in the distance along with detailed trees and floral decorations next to a tan cottage/house. Fairly dark colored piece.

Written across the bottom reads, "The Family Dinner at The Cottage Door La Porte Du Villageois" and "To The R Hon. Lady Georgiana Cavendish this Plate is most respectfully Inscribed by her Ladyships most obedient Servants. Charlotte & George Keating." Bottom left shows "Fr. Wheatley R.A. pinx" and bottom right shows "G Keating sculpt".

Set in an Antique Victorian black with gold accent wooden frame. Squared edges. Gold inside border. Hard cardboard back. Wire hanger.

Measures  approx. 18 3/4" H x 15 1/8" W x 1 1/8" deep

Mezzotint is in excellent condition. Slightly yellowed around the view but no issues with the print itself. No fading, or tears. Very faint foxing evident in left corner. Frame shows light wear. Few paint chips. No significant nicks. Sturdy, ready for hanging.
