Words like paranormal or super-hero are euphemisms only used in comic books and movies. That was until the White Event! In one blinding moment the landscape of the universe changed. Welcome to the New Universe.

DP7 takes place in Marvel's New Universe and follows the experiences of a group of previously normal individuals who acquire powers after the White Event. The group originally consists of seven paranormals from a therapy group at the Clinic for Paranormal Research, but members come and go throughout the series. 

The series largely avoids most superhero conventions, instead focusing on the group's efforts to adapt to their changing and complex circumstances.
