Antique Royal Cauldon Cream & Burgundy Floral Rope Edge Dinner Plate England 10"
Antique thick pottery/china dinner plate from Royal Cauldon, c1920's, England. Cream base color with a burgundy pattern. Design shows heavy amounts of floral bouquets-some even in other shades such as: blue, yellow, red- along with accompanying vines/foliage, and some unique Nouveau-like scroll and fanwork motifs. A banded scroll border runs along the plate's edge, just below the roped edge. Rim is lightly scalloped in shape. Backside is marked with a red "Royal Cauldon, England, Est. 1774".
Measures 10 1/2" in Diameter.
Good to very good with signs of general use. Plate exhibits allover crazing. Minor wear around plate's rim but free of any cracks, chips, or hairlines. Solid, study construction. Light staining on interior, see pictures.
