Budweiser stemmed Pokal Style / Pilsner Flute Glass
(Set of Two) 1970’s Vintage Glasses
I have one set of two 1970’s vintage stemmed & footed beer glasses, each branded with the Budweiser name, phrase “Since 1876” and Clydesdale head logo. Pokal is the German word for cup. The pokal beer glass is very similar to the pilsner flute, but features a stem. The glass has generally flat sides and an overall slender shape. The typical use for this type of glass is German bock style beers. The glass does well with head retention and aroma presentation. Each 12 U.S. Fluid Ounce (0.35 L) stands about 8” (20.4 cm) tall with the gold guilded rim measuring about 2⅜” (6 cm) wide. Gently used from a St Louis, Missouri estate no fogging or water spots, gold on the rim may have some rub / degradation from cleaning.
