Item Description
M1839 U.S. Infantry & Rifleman's White Buff Waist Belt. This has the small brass U.S. Oval Belt Plate. Size: 2.8 inches X 1.6 inches. Belt loop at the end of the belt. White buff belt is 1-3/4" wide, Regulation calls for 1-1/2" wide. Short by 1/8 inch - length is 34 inches - Regulation calls for 38-1/2" (Not unusual for soldiers to shorten the length of their waist belts). Still a Very Rare item!
