1954 whaleboat occupancy plaque made of heavy brass or bronze.

Plaque is 6 3/8" wide by 3 3/4" tall.

It weighs just under a half pound.

The plaque has the following impressed upon it:

Boat No. C-37236 Max. Cap 22 Men {cap quantity changed to 17, then 16}

(Maximum capacity includes boat crew and passengers

and assumes all passengers in cockpits and seated as far as possible)
