Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appeared first in 1994 and has had a sort of cult following ever since. The series features the four turtles from TV and movies: Michelangelo (Orange),  Leonardo (Blue), Raphael (Red), and Donatello (Purple).  The series was originally produced in Slovenia and Hungary but moved to China in 1997.  They appear in two styles, Happy and Angry.  Then, each style was put on a variety of stem colors (Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, Black, Magenta, and Teal) making 64 combinations.  

An updated series started in 2005 and all four turtles are serious looking. The current series began in 2014.
