As seen in issue 220 of Toy Soldier and Model Figure magazine – here is a chance for you to get your very own copy of Bermudiana, a Short Military History of a Mythical 19th Century Land written and published by well-known toy soldier maker, Professor Harold Pestana.

An imaginary story of a make believe island colony of 19th century England, “Bermudiana” the prettiest 19th century British Colony.

This 70-page book describes the colony and the military establishment found there. Color illustrations depict the flags of the Bermudiana Regiments, the uniforms of said regiments, as well as some of the traditions of the regiments.

There are black & white photographs that illustrate various aspects of the islands as well as color photographs of handmade toy soldiers painted in the colors of the regiments.

There is also a really cool folded map tucked into the book.

Paperback book measures approximately 8.5 x 11 inches, is spiral bound, and comes from a smoke free home.

As well as being a toy soldier maker, Harold Pestana is a retired Professor of Geology and has made over 20 research trips to the real island of Bermuda.

Professor Harold Pestana’s handmade toy soldiers are in the Forbes Museum in Manhattan, the Hillestad Museum in Cresco, Pennsylvania, and in private collections worldwide.
