Leon Vitkauskas (pseudonym Arėjas, 1902. July 11., Old style - 28 June. Siauliai -?) - Lithuanian journalist, editor, writer.
Since 1919 on 1 February. until 1921 on 8 September. Lithuania served as a volunteer in the army, in 1919. 9th Infantry Regiment set up the
first parts of the Lithuanian army newspaper "homeland." Since 1919 he cooperated "Military word", "Soldier".
After military service, he went to Scotland. There, before 1923 he edited the newspaper "Emigrants friend."
After returning to Lithuania, Siauliai and lived with Mr sloop and the other in 1924. established the Libertines Society.
1924-1925 edited by the newspaper "Siauliai News" and later worked for the Lithuanian Official Gazette.
1933 went to the United States. 1919-1940 collaborated American Lithuanian press, since 1940 - only the English press.
US office established knowledge (News Bureau), had knowledge of the industry magazines.
While in Lithuania, it engaged only in journalism, and worked in various publications. The essays were published
„Iliustruotoji Lietuva“, „Trimitas“, „Vairas“, „Lietuvos aidas“, „Mūsų kraštas“, „Savivaldybė“, „Rygos garsas“, „Jaunimas“, „Panevėžio balsas“.
Poems dominated nature motifs, poems and short stories collection "For the Motherland" idealized struggle for Lithuanian independence.
