Thee Morning Glories aren't so much a band as they are one person...the enigmatic Chris Curylo, who simply wanted to make the loudest, most brutal psychedelic album ever...and he seceded. This is the best album you've never heard. Picture Syd Barrett meeting Tommy Iomni in a seedy New York bar, and them having dirty sex in the bathroom stall, the offspring ... Thee Morning Glories. Thick, Loud Guitars meet beautiful harmonies and disturbing melodies on this speaker blowing album. Curylo pushes his guitars to where most mortal men fear to tread. I hate to use this word, but the album is timeless. It feels late 60's but has a 90's edge. Unless you knew, you couldn't guess when the album was made. This album proves psychedelic can actually be loud and aggressive but still be melodic and at times a little sensitive. Get this album if you can find it.
