Pearl River has one of the most exciting new sounds in the business: Pearl River country is bluesy, soulful, and energetic. They're from the Philadelphia, Mississippi area, where they've been wowing audiences for a long time. Together since High School, the band has an award-winning sound, having taken home 1st Place honors at the Mississippi/Alabama Battle of the Bands for three straight years, and the top prize in the prestigious Jimmie Rodgers Festival in 1990. Pearl River's appearance at the Nashville Entertainment Association's "Music City Music" Showcase was hailed as "the highlight of the show" by Music City critics, and led to being signed by Liberty Records.
