This listing is for a pair of beautiful American cast gilt brass single light Girandole Candlesticks of Fisher Boy with Girl and prisms, c. 1850-1856.  It was made by Archer and Warner of Philadelphia, PA.  It is a decorative cast brass in the Rococo Revival style.  These can be seen in Nineteenth Century Lighting, by H. Parrott Bacot, page 183.  The base is decorated with a seated courting couple while fishing. The body is in excellent condition with no damage. This is a single candelabra with acanthus leaf edges on drip cups. Beautiful natural patina on the gilt brass body which is mounted onto a creamy-white marble or alabaster base.  The candelabras are adorned with a partial compliment of 5 crystal prisms each which may have several small nicks from normal use, however, these prisms are readily available and can be easily replaced. You will need 5 more prisms for each candelabra.  These Girandoles Measure 14 1/2 inches tall.   The marble base is 3-1/2 inches deep and 5-1/2 inches wide and 1-1/4 inches thick.  They have felt padding on the bottom.  There are nicks and chips on the marble from use.  Insurance is included in the shipping.  (2016-4A-XX71)
