Remove upper rear seat cowl

• Disconnect number plate light loom this is made easier by loosening the RHS of the rear cowling

• Using a 10mm socket and ratchet, carefully loosen all four hex head set screws, securing current tail assembly

• With all tension removed, continue to unscrew the four screws, whilst supporting assembly with your free hand

• You can now lower the assembly and pull the loom from the bike

• Pass licence plate illuminator wire up through the R&G unit and feed through the undertray

• Using the OEM bolts, raise the new R&G tail tidy into position and insert and start each fixing by hand first, to prevent any cross threading

• Once happy that all four fixings are successfully started, continue to tighten them all equally

• Tighten all four firmly but do not overtighten, or damage to the licence plate hanger or the bike will result

• To connect the light to the loom cut the plug from the OEM light and attach to the R&G light using the connectors supplied.

• Replace the RHS cowling and upper rear seat cowl to complete the task
