Up for auction is a 1947 Everett JR College Intergrand Yearbook Everett WA. The most interesting feature of this yearbook are the obviously older men students who I'm presuming are veterans studying on the GI Bill. On the front and back endpapers are the same set of two pages of college life cartoons by Bob Strieby. There are a few girly drawings that look like something a soldier would have drawn. There are other telling cartoons that show life on a very new campus, that was only 7 years old: a teacher who is teaching and is cold, next to a heater, a deep mud puddle, the dean cracking a whip, a dad being dropped off for classes, and a stack of coke cases and two new students sitting together-an 18 year old boy just graduated from high school and an older man coming to college for the first time. This padded fabric covers yearbook has 122 pages printed on a good, slick quality paper. It is 8 1/8" wide, 10 3/4" tall and 5/8" thick. It weighs 1.4 lbs.
This old Junior College yearbook is in quite good, unmarked and unwritten in condition. The fabric cover has worn blue print on it that is quite worn. The corners are worn but not worn through.
