When to use a DI?
A DI box basically turns an "instrument" signal into a "mic" signal. It is used when you have an unbalanced, high impedance instrument, like a guitar or keyboard, and want to plug it into balanced XLR microphone input, such as on a mixing desk / PA system. Simple to Use
DI boxes can be a little confusing at first, however this DI will automatically provide a solution for you easily. Simply plug your instrument into the input via a 1/4" jack cable, and connect a mic cable from the XLR into your desired mixer channel preamp, or a powered speaker. Use the PARA Output to send the clean signal to a tuner or amplifier etc. Use the Signal Attenuation switch to adjust your signal according to your instrument. Basically you can use:
0dB setting for electric guitar, basses and leyboards; -20dB setting for professional audio equipment, and; -40dB setting for guitar power amps. Use the Ground Switch to resolve Hum or noise issues.
