Hand painted Indonesian Batik fabric by the meter: First Quality Rayon.
Abstract print that comes in 2 colours:
1.)black and grey
2.) Dark blue and grey

It was waxed and hand-painted therefore died twice, so it is pre-shrunk. Colourfast dies were used.

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dying applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique, originated from Indonesia,  Batik is made either by drawing dots and lines of the resist with a spouted tool called a tjanting, or by printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap. The applied wax resists dyes and therefore allows the artisan to colour selectively by soaking the cloth in one colour, removing the wax with boiling water and repeating if multiple colours are desired.

Small amount of wax can remain on the fabric after washing - which you can just scrape off - it disappears in the wash anyway. Presence of wax is a proof that the fabric was hand-painted using Batik technique.

Looks great as dress / shirt material or as curtain, table-cloth or cushion cover material.

We post every working day; items that are paid for before 2 PM will be posted the same day, if you pay after 2 PM it will be posted the next working day. We use First Class post, unless our customer chooses Special Delivery (Next Day before 1PM Delivery) option. If you need the shirt for a specific date less then 7 days from ordering, we would advise you to choose Special Delivery because First Class sometimes takes longer then the 2 to 4 working days that is supposed to take.
