This camera has just been serviced and is in perfect working condition.

This is a Nikon S rangefinder camera. The camera is a 24x34mm rangefinder film camera body. NO lens is included. This was made in Japan in May or June of 1951. Body serial number 6094211. The viewfinder is clear. The counter works. Both shutter curtains are supple. The camera has no dents. There are minor brightmarks and other minor wear. No missing body covering. There are some bumps in the leather on the back. The back and body have matching serial numbers. The camera you see is the camera you get. No games. Free shipping in the USA. All other buyers pay actual shipping costs. I ship the day payment is made. Regards, Darryl

The major detraction of this camera is that it was engraved long ago. The original owner put his name on the back of the top plate and his SS number on the front of the baseplate.

This camera was an early transition from the M to S. Many of the features are the same as the M. The sync plugs are black and the F and S sync markings are red. The base opening key is marked Made In Japan. This camera would be from the last 100 of the 8th batch of Nikon rangefinders camera produced and has the bright chrome finish. There are other intermixed features as well and "The complete Nikon Rangefinder System Book", by Robert J. Rotoloni would give you more information.
