One unique promotional item offered in German is called a Retro Filmprogramm. Normally with eight pages printed on paper, each 8" x 5 3/4" program [15cm x 21cm] usually contains a synopsis, a cast list, and photos from the film.  Most Filmprogramme (film programs) are two colored and their release coincides with the film's release in German.  Because of WW2 and its aftermath, many USA films made in the late 1930's and 1940's were not released in Germany until later   This kind of program, a Filmpost, was one of the first made in Germany after WW2..
