Fine quality Old Master oil painting on canvas, dating to the 17th century and of Italian authorship. The painting came from a private collection of Old Master paintings housed in Versailles, France.
The painting depicts a shepherd reaching out to his love, set against the backdrop of a romanticised landscape and sheep. A rare subject for such an early work - possibly a mythological subject. Presented in superb patterned frame.
Condition report:
The painting is in overall good condition though being 17th century has old repairs, retouching to the surface/ old abrasions.

Paintings usually arrive in America within 3 working days after being dispatched.
For UK deliveries, we generally use a 24hr. delivery service.
