Scammell China manufactured this 9 1/2 inch plate in 1924 for United Commercial Travelers, a union for traveling salesmen. The plate commemorated the 20th anniversary of the union, June 6, 1924, as indicated on the back. Also on the back is the logo for the union reading Trenton Council No. 240 with a dangling suitcase. The top of the plate has a lovely design, almost tapestry-like, with birds and flowers in shades of pink, purple and green on a tan border, with a baske of flowers in the well. No chips or cracks but there is minor utensil use in the well and some wear to the gold overglaze stripe around the rim.
