This beauty is housed in a Stout, 37MM LONG, HEAVY 14K Yellow Gold case. The case shows evidence of use but is what I would consider to be Excellent condition with only shop wear. The case evidences signs of microfine scratches but nothing serious. Overall, she is a real beaut and Iooks great in hand and terrific on the wrist. This is definitely one of the more elegant models that the Longines House created and the first time I have ever seen this model - a very EARLY design that is certainly a classic.
The Original, Silver dial is in Excellent condition and more importantly, it is original, making this an even greater package. All of the original fancy gold hands and are intact and in terrific order.
The Original, Heavy, Yellow Gold crown is intact and in Excellent condition
The Original glass crystal is spotless.
The 15 jewel Cal. 12.92 Adjusted Automatic movement was the very best that Longines offered at the time. This example is running strongly and is ready to go on your or a loved one's wrist! The balance is running true, indicating that it has never suffered a fall or any serious abuse. Winding AND Setting all operate properly. To top it off, this movement appears to be 100% factory original!
All polished and blued steel work is in Excellent condition and the nickle plates are fantastic for this age of watch.
Streamline Design watches are experiencing a renaissance and are becoming VERY collectible. But people are not just collecting them, they are wearing them as everyday watches and this timepiece looks really eye catching when worn.
