D C THOMSON

                                    BUNTY  FOR GIRLS  2001

Bunty had been a favourite with D C Thomson since its launch as an annual, "The Book for Girls" in 1960. Never styled as an Annual, it nevertheless was, and it remained very popular. Some 40 years after launch there had been some changes, the lead story is a photo-story, and the long running Four Marys had moved to the back of the book and the school was long recast as of indeterminate status, losing its' public school aura.

Bunty still kept up the quality of production though, and could tell a good tale. Lost in the Snow with its ghostly Black Bob hero is a lovely nod to characters from the past in other D C Thomson publications. Note also the sharing of Penny's Place with Mandy.

The book is in VG condition with the following faults

Light rubbing to the dust jacket.

The book is otherwise clean and bright, unclipped and not marked.

  8.5 out of 10

I sell mostly second hand books and I try to convey overall condition by rating out of 10. New would be 10, whilst anything over 9 would be collectible in that the book would be lightly read, and with no damage or wear. An 8 rating would be a decent copy, appropriate for its age.
Once it gets a 7 rating, then there will be faults that you should consider carefully. 6 or lower are generally reading copies or collection fillers that are offered because of their rarity or interest. Again, check the faults carefully.
