Model 8700 Dual Burn High / Low Front Position / Daytime Running Light and Heated Lens

This listing is for 2 Lights designed for use on vehicles driven on the right hand side of the road as in Europe.

Model 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn is a drop-in replacement for 7″ round (PAR56) headlights.

They have a distinctive look that dramatically improves driver’s visibility on a variety of vehicles—including trucks, motorcycles, classic cars and more.

SmartHeat® technology offers a thermally conductive grid system that will de-ice the lens up to twice as fast as other lights. This intelligent system reacts to temperature changes on a real-time basis with no action required by the driver.

ComfortLite® high beams

The bright, white LED light of J.W. Speaker headlights just got even brighter. Dual Burn 7″ LED headlights keep the low beam optics on when drivers switch to high beam. Effective light output on the high beam increases about 10% — while the precise solid optics direct the light and maintain being street-legal.

The SmartHeat® Model 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn features both high and low beam functions. The tough die-cast aluminium housing, hard-coated polycarbonate lens, solid state LEDs, and superior beam pattern make the Model 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn perfect for use both on- and off-road.

How Does SmartHeat Work

Step 1

A SmartHeat LED light will automatically turn on at startup or when temperatures drop.

Step 2

The SmartHeat technology uses an internal sensor to sense the current temperature.

How it Works: SmartHeat technology from J.W. Speaker integrates a lens heater to automatically melt snow and ice.

Step 3

Once the ice has melted and the light has warmed up to meet the high temperature threshold, the SmartHeat grid system will automatically turn off.

In extreme temperatures facing constant cold conditions, the SmartHeat grid system will continue to stay on preventing ice and snow from building on the lens of the light.

Due to varying sensor locations on the different products in the SmartHeat® Series, temperature thresholds cannot be measured by outside temperature and will vary between lights.
