Egypt Cairo Ware Silver Inlay Brass Tray / Art Primitive

Presented is a
Cairo Ware silver Inlay brass tray or plate with extensive decorative detailed
depictions of primitive everyday life in the time of the Pharoh's. This tray
seems to tell a story from the animals and trust of the land at the bottom to
the care and running of the house in the center and above all the worship above
and the homage of the Pharoh. Cairo Ware is an interesting method of engraved
grooves and patterns into bronze and pounding thin strips of metal in to
fill in the pattern and decorations. It has a triangular hanger on the copper
back. It is a great piece for the collector silver and trays and ready for use
as art on the wall or a decorative table décor.
