Painted plastic 65mm figure mint-in-bag

This long-retired figure was produced EXCLUSIVELY for us by Starlux in 1988. This is their first-version Napoleonic range, which was retired (replaced) by their "Super Starlux" Napoleonics. The is painted in the their prestigious "Luxe" style. 

Starlux, which went out of business around 2000, produced a huge range of painted and unpainted plastic figures. From the 1930s to the 1990s this great French company was one of the giants of the toy soldier industry. Sadly, their long-discontinued models are becoming increasingly difficult to find in the superb condition we offer them. Their acclaimed range of Napoleonic figures is what put them on the map, and is generally regarded as one of the high points in painted plastic model making. Each figure was cast by Starlux in separate pieces. The next step was to assemble each model, which added true dimension to the piece. The final step was having their in-house artists painstakingly decorate each model in historically accurate uniforms. The Napoleonic range was titled "Super Starlux," because these models boasted the most sophisticated of all their paint jobs.

The figure was produced during the 1980s and early 1990s. It is packed in its original Starlux header-card bag. The model is in mint condition, while the bag is as it arrived from the manufacturer (which means the card may have slight damage, such as rubs, creases, dents or other minor blemishes). As we have more than one of this item, the one you receive will be in similar condition to the one shown, but it will not be exactly the same.  All Starlux models are original store stock, which have been stored in our smoke-free, climate-controlled warehouse since they were originally purchased direct from Starlux over 3 decades ago.
