Fresh from a Rochester, NY estate comes this wonderful restaurant ware plate. Featured in the center is a child sitting on a stool with an empty bowl and the words All Gone above his head. The rim of the plate features line drawings of fairy tales, including Jack and the Beanstalk, Sing a Song of Sixpence, Little Miss Muffett and other images. The art is almost reminiscent of old French drawings. From what I was told, this plate came from a restaurant in Toronto. Royal Worcester manufactured this plate in the 1940s, according to the backstamp. There are some impressed numbers as well as handwritten numbers in red under the glaze on the back. It measures 10 inches in diameter, rather large for a child's plate. No chips or cracks and just a few minor utensil marks. Cute piece to add to any child's china collection.
