This listing is for two (2) gorgeous pairs of natural pink vintage Japanese freshwater pearl buttons. These Japanese freshwater buttons are very difficult to acquire due to the decline in the late 90's.  Freshwater pearls over 9.0mm are also quite rare.  The pearls from Japan from the 90's were left in the mollusk for years.  The lengthy growth time produces a very thick nacre.  Today, the majority of freshwater pearls are from China and harvested more rapidly. Thick nacre is most desirable and will last generations.  The color is all natural.  The skins are smooth.  They are flat on the back side and are 1/2 drilled.  They are perfect for studs, rings, bracelets.
