MAX TCR A/B

Thick Casting Resin

Clear Epoxy Resin For Floral Arrangements
Water Simulation- Resin System

1 Gallon Combined Volume

1/2 Gallon Of Resin

1/2 Gallon Of Curing Agent

MAX TCR A/B is a clear epoxy-based resin system formulated for artificial floral arrangements to create the appearance of water in a clear vase.

MAX TCR A/B is suitable for making small bud vases arrangements (2 fluid ounce) to large and intricate designs up to 64 fluid ounces in volume.

MAX TCR A/B is suitable for use with marble, stone, and plastic embed.

MAX TCR A/B is mixed 1:1 by volume or by weight and offers a very long working time to allow entrapped air bubbles to outgas before cure.

It is formulated to react slow, minimizing the exothermic temperature or heat produced during polymerization, which prevents premature yellowing caused by excessive heat.

The slow cure process also reduces dimensional shrinkage and prevents loss of adhesion or delamination.

MAX TCR gels to a solid after 6 to 9 hours from mixing at room temperature (67°F to 77°F); a tack-free solid phase is achieved within 48 hours at room temperature cure.

MAX TCR cures water-clear and flexible, demonstrating excellent adhesion to vases made from glass, ceramic, clay, stone pottery, and other materials commonly used in silk floral and artificial plant arrangements.

The flexible cure allows the glass vase to expand and contract with minimal restriction, thus eliminating glass breakage caused by the differential Coefficient of Expansion and Contraction.

APPLICATION AND USAGE

Clean and prepare the glass vase before mixing the resin and curing agent together.
Place the vase on a level surface controlled environment free of airborne contaminants.
Mix 100 parts resin to 100 parts of curing agent by weight or equal parts by volume in a clean container.
Mix thoroughly but gently as to not introduce excessive air bubbles during mixing.
Mix the resin and curing agent until the mixture turns clear (2 to 4 Minutes).
Pour the mixed resin in the center of the vase and allow to fill until the desired volume is attained.
Insert floral arrangement per design and support to prevent movement.
Allow to cure for 36 to 48 hours at 75°F before handling.

RESIN CRYSTALLIZATION FROM COLD WEATHER

During the winter months or after prolonged storage, the PART A or RESIN component may crystallize and cause poor cure performance. Our MAX Epoxy Resins are formulated with high purity grade resin polymers which makes it prone to crystallization when exposed to temperatures below 57°F. Crystallization can also occur after the resin has been stored over a period. It will appear as a waxy white mass at the bottom of the bottle. The PART A or RESIN component must be in its liquid form to thoroughly mix with the PART B or curing agent to achieve full cure.

View the following video for identification and processing.

DO NOT USE UNLESS PROCESSED TO REVERT ANY CRYSTALLIZED RESIN BACK TO A LIQUID STATE AND AVOID POOR CURED RESULTS.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MEASURE, MIX, DISPENSE OR APPLY

Proportioning the correct amount is equally as important to attain the intended cured properties of the resin system. The container in which the epoxy and curing agent is mixed is an important consideration when mixing an epoxy resin system.
The container must withstand the tenacity of the chemical and must be free of contamination. Most epoxy curing agent has a degree of corrosivity, as a general practice, protective gloves should be worn when handling chemicals of the same nature.
