1789 Buxtorf HEBREW & Latin
Jewish Bible Lexicon Dictionary Judaica Rabbinica 4v
A rare 17th-century
Hebrew / Latin lexicon and Old Testament concordance.
Originally started
in 1607, Johann Buxtorf began working on a Hebrew lexicon. However, this work
was one of the few works of his that had to be completed by other writers,
mainly his son. This dictionary was published multiple times throughout the
next two centuries and would become the basis for many 19th-century
Hebrew concordances. This work serves as a reference tool for Old Testament
research particularly the Pentateuch.
This 1789 Rome
edition was published in four volumes by Zempel.
