We tested our hard hats and others in the Offshore oilfield on board a jack up rig in the Gulf of Mexico for over a year before offering any for sale. Here is what we found. If your current plastic hard hat looks good and has no scratches or dings after months of service the dipped hard hat will look the same. If you have a rough job that your current regular hard hat frequently comes into contact and is scratched and has gouges in the plastic a dipped one will also scratch and Gouge.

    * How Durable is a hydro dipped finish? I like to say it is as durable as your automobiles finish. We use the highest grade automotive paints and clear coats. The finish is strong and durable but will scratch and chip if severely abused.

    * How long will it take to get  my hard hat? All hats are ready to ship now. We normally ship the next day and sometimes the same day except weekends and holidays.

    About the Hydrographics process. We take a New Hard hat remove it from  the manufactures packaging and prep and dip the hat using the Hydrographics printing technique.
